Empathy and imagination are my superpowers

Grant Writer — Lori Tack

Since the 1990's, I’ve written successful grant applications for many initiatives including construction of public greenway trails, stream-bank stabilization, educational signage, public murals, historic preservation and program sponsorship. I’ve gotten to work on a lot of important projects with diverse teams of incredible people from around the world.

I’m dedicated to efforts that protect our environment and better people’s lives. My lifelong curiosity has made me an empath and that serves me well when I’m securing grant funding for worthy causes.

Lori Tack’s Resume

I come from a long line of creative thinkers and do’ers including writers, artists, builders, pastors, engineers and farmers — who all had a strong connection to nature. These include a founder of Greenwich CT, a Dutch Master watercolorist, a painting teacher at The New School with art in the Phillips Collection, and a master craftsman who made a chair for the queen of The Netherlands in 1900! No pressure, right?

Project example: I worked on the 2017 bicycle and pedestrian trail plan for Greene County, Missouri, in conjunction with Alta Planning + Design and the Ozarks Transportation Organization.
